This opportunity is open to faculty at Princeton University and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey

The Ludwig Princeton Branch is dedicated to accelerating the study of metabolic phenomena associated with cancer to develop new paradigms for cancer prevention and treatment. Its research themes include:

• Metabolic interactions between the tumor and the rest of the body, focusing on how the body supports tumor growth and metastasis, and how tumors induce cachexia. 
• Tumor microenvironment changes during cancer progression and metastasis.
• Interplay between host metabolism, gut microbiome, and anti-cancer immune response.
• Dietary strategies for the prevention and treatment of cancer.

More generally, Ludwig Princeton aims to increase the application of high impact science and engineering discoveries of Princeton faculty and students to cancer research.  We welcome proposals related to either the branch’s current aims or new directions of high potential long-term impact to the field of cancer.  

Chosen proposals will receive $100K in funding for calendar year 2022, with a potential for renewal (and, in rare cases) expansion in future years.  Proposals should concisely describe the primary innovation and/or objective, long term vision/impact and specific aims, in maximum 1 page (12 point font and 1 inch margins, may optionally include figures as part of the page).
